Double Murder Rocks Akbuk
Two men, including a relative of Akbuk mayor Ibrahim Şam, were stabbed to death when an arguement over unpaid debts turned deadly.
Şam’s cousin, Süleyman Şam (30), along with brothers Süleyman Burak Tekduz (31) and Abdullah Tekduz (24), began arguing in a shop in Akbük on Tues night Nov 25).
The row blew up when Süleyman Şam and his brother Soner confronted the Tekduz brothers over an unpaid debt. During the violence that flared, Süleyman Şam was stabbed to death by Süleyman Burak.
Süleyman Burak was then knifed to death by Soner. Soner is also thought to have stabbed Abdullah Tekduz who was taken to Soke Hospital with serious stab wounds.
Jandarma officers are still investigating the incident and are still searching for Soner Şam who remains at large.
The funerals of the two men took place on Thursday 27 Nov.
